Very high IQ numbers often attract attention, but the number alone does not tell the whole story.

IQ tests measure selected cognitive abilities. At the extreme upper end, differences between tests and scoring systems can make direct comparisons difficult.



A better approach is to examine the test used, how the score was calculated, when it was obtained and whether the result can be independently compared with other scores.
