How Are the Highest IQ Rankings Determined?

[Campus reveiw]

IQ rankings can be difficult to compare because intelligence tests are not all identical.

A reported score may depend on:

The test used
The scoring system
The person's age at testing
The source reporting the result
Whether the score is documented or estimated
Historical testing standards

For this reason, claims about the “highest IQ in the world” should be treated carefully.

The Campus Review's resource examines notable individuals associated with exceptionally high reported scores and provides context around how IQ rankings are determined.
