For anyone interested in world geography, the Pacific Ocean is the largest ocean by surface area and is also the deepest ocean on Earth.

The Pacific contains the Mariana Trench and covers an enormous area between the Americas and the Asia-Pacific region. Its geography also makes it important for climate, marine ecosystems and international transportation.
