A remarkable rescue story has emerged from Nepal following devastating flash floods.
Rajendra Dawadi, principal of Tribhuvan Trishuli Secondary School in Nuwakot, received warnings that floodwaters were approaching the school. He quickly instructed teachers to evacuate students and also contacted school-bus drivers.

Reports say 1,643 children were moved to safety before the school was swept away by the flood.
