Stirling Free Power is presented as a DIY alternative-energy project designed for people interested in generating useful electricity from heat. The concept is based on the Stirling engine, a real heat-engine technology that can convert a temperature difference into mechanical motion and, when coupled with a generator, electrical power.Unlike conventional gasoline generators, a Stirling-based system does not necessarily require combustion inside the engine itself. It can potentially operate using an external heat source, which makes the technology interesting for alternative-energy experiments, waste-heat recovery, solar-thermal applications, and educational projects.
