The Connetquot Pride flag dispute has received a new court ruling.

A federal appeals court ruled in favor of the Connetquot School District on August 31, 2026. The court found that requiring teachers to remove Pride flags and stickers from classroom walls did not violate their First Amendment rights.


The dispute began in 2022 and later resulted in litigation concerning the district's Pride flag policies.
